Hello everybody out there on the globe and especially in
Los Angeles at the Bicentennial Education Centre! Yes, we mean you, Brenda Donahue's class, we did a virtual visit with in June 1999.

We, the class 50 of the Detmold outlet of the Abendgymnasium Bielefeld
(e-mail us any time, please!)
the 50/2 as Vorkurs

the class 50/3 of the Aussenstelle Detmold

introduce ourselves to anybody on the globe and especially the students participating and being interested in Susan Gaer's and David Rosen's ESOL project "The Virtual Visit"

We are a class of at present 10 adult students, 4 males and 6 females. We are from 21 to 51 years old. We are open-minded for the influences of other nationalities, as you can see at our class. We are German, Chinese and even Russian.

Our school starts at 5.45 p.m. and ends at 9.00 or sometimes even 9.45 p.m. five days a week from Monday to Friday. Our subjects at school are: Maths, English, Sociology, German, Biology, History.

School is very hard, because most of us work over the day, for example as doctor's assistant, graphic artist, female educator, housewife, and surveyor. So there is not very much time for our hobbies as there are, for instance, mountain biking, baseball and music. We are looking forward to reading from anybody anywhere soon!

Here are our questions we got answered via e-mail from LA. We have published the questions from LA and our answers and texts here. Moreover we have a file of information about Lippe, the old Duchy we live in, here."
